Privacy Policy & Google Play Data Safety
Last Updated: August 23, 2026
Google Play Store Compliance Notice: This Privacy Policy applies to the InstaPro / Insta Downloader Android Mobile Application and Web Application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting sensitive user and device data in full compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Data Safety requirements.
At InstaPro, protecting user privacy is our top priority. This document outlines the types of information we access or process, how we treat user data, device permissions, and your rights regarding data control and deletion.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
InstaPro is built with a privacy-first, zero-login architecture:
- No Account Credentials: We do NOT collect, store, or ask for your Instagram account username, password, or login tokens.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do NOT collect personal names, email addresses (unless voluntarily submitted via support contact), phone numbers, or social media handles.
- No Location Data: We do NOT track or record your GPS or precise location.
- No Audio or Camera Recording: We do NOT access your camera, microphone, or record device communications.
2. Mobile App & Device Permissions (Google Play Policy)
To provide media downloading services, our Android Application requests only necessary runtime permissions:
- Storage Permission (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES): Used exclusively to save requested video and photo files directly to your device's gallery or Downloads folder.
- Internet Permission (INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to connect to public media servers, process download requests, and fetch network status.
- Clipboard Permission: Used locally on your device to enable quick-paste functionality when you copy an Instagram link to your clipboard. Clipboard data is processed in-memory and never sent to remote servers.
3. Data Storage & Local Download History
Local Device Storage: App preferences and recent download history are saved exclusively on your local device (using Android Shared Preferences or Web `localStorage`). This data stays on your phone and is never transmitted to our servers.
Server Logs: Standard web server requests automatically record basic technical data such as IP address, user-agent/browser type, time stamp, and HTTP request headers. This data is non-personally identifiable and is retained temporarily strictly for server security, rate-limiting, DDoS prevention, and performance monitoring.
4. Third-Party Services & Analytics
Our application and website may utilize trusted third-party SDKs and service providers to support app operations, display advertisements, and analyze crash reports:
- Google Play Services: Required for core app framework functionalities on Android devices.
- Google AdMob & AdSense: Used to display advertisements. Google uses cookies or unique advertising IDs (e.g. AAID) to serve relevant ads. You can manage or reset your advertising ID in your Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). View Google Privacy & Terms.
5. Data Retention & Data Deletion Policy
Because InstaPro does not create user accounts or maintain a central database of personal information:
- We do not hold any personal data to retain or delete on remote servers.
- Deleting Local App Data: You can completely erase all local app history, cache, and downloaded media at any time by uninstalling the app or going to Android Settings > Apps > InstaPro > Storage > Clear Storage / Clear Cache.
- Data Deletion Requests: If you have submitted a support message via email or contact form and wish to have it deleted, email us at privacy@instapro-app.example.com with your request, and we will purge your email record within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
InstaPro does not target or knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take swift action to delete such information.
7. Consent & Policy Updates
By downloading, installing, or using the InstaPro application or website, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update this policy periodically to reflect policy changes or legal compliance. Any updates will be posted on this URL with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp.
